Hair transplant surgery involves the extraction of healthy, DHT resistant hair from a donor area and planting it to the bald areas.
The donor area is usually the back of your head, behind/above your ears and other body hairs which is naturally resistant to hair loss. The transplanted hair continues to grow naturally and is permanently implanted.

PRE-PROCEDURE

Photography:
Keeping before and after pictures are an easy way to see how your transplant recovery is progressing. We will take lots of before and after photos of your head from different angles prior and after the completion of the procedure respectively. Moreover, you may also want to keep your own set of before photographs.
Paperwork and Financing:
We will collect all your medical history and contact information in advance to ensure that there are no conflicting medications or conditions that might complicate your surgery. We will also work with you to collect a deposit to schedule your time for the procedure.
- After your surgery date is scheduled the first deposit of is due within one week.
- The balance is due the day of your surgery.
- Payments for last minute bookings will be arranged individually.
Travel and accommodations:
If you are flying to Kathmandu for your surgery our administrative staff will book a hotel as per your need. Clients are invited to the clinic the day after the surgery to check their progress.
ON THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE

Here is the general outline of the procedure that is normally followed by a client in Arogin hair clinic.
Meet the team
Arrival
When you arrive for the procedure, you will be greeted by Arogin staff members. You will be asked to fill up the form while technicians in the close monitoring of the surgeon will complete the procedure setup. Our nursing staff will take all your vitals and make sure you have followed all the pre operative conditions. Although, rarely needed you might be given a mild sedative.
Before the hair restoration surgery, transplant surgeon will give a brief counseling about the procedure and will review your previously discussed expectations.
This will be followed by the hair trimming and designing of the transplanted zone. The procedure will not move forward until you feel comfortable with your hair line design and approach you and your doctor have agreed upon. You will be given a local anesthesia at transplant site before the procedure in order to ease you.
IHT Procedure
The most advance technique for hair transplantation, immediate hair transplant where grafts extraction and plantation is done simultaneously is carried out. This is achieved by preparing the slits in recipient area prior the procedure. Major motive of this procedure is 100% graft survival.
A break and refreshments
One session of transplantation will be around 1-2 hours. There will be altogether 3-4 breaks in a session of 8-9 hour.3 short breaks of 15 minute each and a long break of 45 minutes is taken. During breaks, clients can walk around, take refreshments and lunch and go to the washroom as well.
For this part of procedure, you will be seated in a comfortable and reclining chair. You will be offered viewing a television and a internet connection.
Once the hair transplant procedure is completed, you will be given an after care post operative package consisting of various medications such as an antibiotic, mild pain killers and assorted items to make your post operative healing as smooth as possible. You will be invited to our clinic after few days of procedure so that we can inspect your progress and show how to wash your hair in the initial days of your recovery.
POST TRANSPLANT RECOVERY
The recovery is fast and easy after the procedure. It is better to avoid any physical exertion right after the procedure. Pain is rarely reported by our clients but in case if you feel any discomfort, we prescribe pain killers to ease your pain.
On the 8th day of you procedure you will be called for the head wash at our clinic. We will be pleased to clarify any remaining doubts about post transplant conditions. However, if you could not manage to come we can coordinate with you about the head wash via email or phone.
In first few months, a large part of implanted hair fall might be seen. This is completely normal and is called a shedding phase. The growth restarts only after this phase and optimum result can be expected from 6 to 12 months.
